Things are not going well for “That ‘70s Show” alum Lisa Robin Kelly lately. Kelly, who played Laurie, the promiscuous older sister of Eric Foreman on the popular comedy show has had yet another run in with the law. Kelly has served time in the past for other crimes, such as the charge laid against her in 2010 when she was found to be driving while intoxicated. Following this was an altercation which had her arrested in March of 2012. After her release on bail, Kelly reportedly went on her Facebook to express that she was being set up to look like a domestic abuser and asked for money. She then tweeted on April 4th of 2012 “Relieved the nightmare is over”.
Apparently the nightmare wasn’t over. Some people just don’t take the hint: Assaulting your spouse will land you in jail.
This time, Kelly has been arrested for an almost identical altercation, including assault charges laid on both her and her husband. Both Kelly and her 61 year old husband were taken into custody after a domestic fight Monday night in their North Carolina home. They both remain in custody at this time.
Kelly seems to have been struggling with personal troubles for a long time now, as she admitted previously that the reason she left “That ‘70s Show” back in its fifth season was that she had a drinking problem. While there were reportedly no injuries this time, and drugs and alcohol are not suspected to play a role in the assault, it is a bad situation that I hope both find an exit from before things become any worse than they already are.
