No one has ever accused Glenn Beck of being one to mince words before. His political feelings are on an easy-to-follow spectrum - Tea Party = great, conservatives = usually good, liberals = bad, President Barack Obama = bad and dangerous for America.
Beck took his anti-Obama feelings to a new level on his web TV series yesterday, as he discusses a painting that depicts Obama in a Christ-like pose. Beck was not a fan of the painting, which was created four years ago by artist Michael D'Antuono but not presented in New York City (as was planned) after public protests. Currently the painting hangs in Bunker Hill Community College in Massachusetts.
Beck is not a fan of the painting, but feels like the artist had the right to make it.
"Art is in the eye of the beholder, and this guy has right to do this," Beck said. "I think it’s offensive. I don’t think it’s close to reality, but whatever floats your boat, Jack. I support his right to do exactly that."
Beck proceeded to take an Obama bobblehead and dip it into his own "urine," creating a new masterpiece he called "Obama in Pee Pee," which he then offered for sale for $25,000. The "urine" was not actually urine, but a liquid that resembled urine, Beck later admitted.
The clever Beck added that the new artwork was from his "yellow period" and, with a faux French accent, said that he would make a baguette crumble and that he would begin painting jeans on the females pictured in paintings at his studios.
