Fox has gone to Showtime's 'Homeland' to land the newest actress on its upcoming (awesome looking) series, 'The Following.'
No, not Claire Danes. Or Morena Baccarin. Shucks.

Instead, Marin Ireland has been cast as Amanda, a sweet, simple woman with a fragileness about her. Amanda will appear in the ninth episode of the series, with the possibility to become a recurring character on the series.
Ireland has also appeared recently on Starz's cancelled 'Boss' and AMC's awful 'The Killing.' She is also co-staring in an AMC drama pilot opposite Paul Schneider.
'The Following,' for those outside the loop of (potentially) awesome things, is a psychological drama that focuses on an Edgar Allan Poe scholar (played by James Purefoy) who becomes a serial killer. Please, please be better than the piece of crap film 'The Raven.' Kevin Bacon will play the FBI agent with a damaged background who tries to stop Purefoy's character and the army of copycats he has inspired.
Other cast members of 'The Following' include Maggie Grace, Natalie Zea, Jeananne Goossen, Adam Canto, Nico Tortorella, "Iceman" Shawn Ashmore (!), Valorie Curry and Michael Roark.
