A “Cougar Town” resident and a TV doctor will come together to announce nominees for this year’s Screen Actors Guild Awards on Wednesday, Dec. 12.

Busy Phillipps ("Cougar Town") and Taye Diggs ("Private Practice") will announce the 19th annual SAG Awards nominations. The announcement will be broadcast live on the TNT network at 9 a.m. ET, and also webcast on tnt.tv and tbs.com live.
Ned Vaughn, executive vice president of SAG-AFTRA and Roberta Reardon, co- president, will introduce the two actors to the media assembled for the event.
Diggs also appeared in the film “How Stella Got Her Groove Back.” Philipps appeared in “Freaks and Geeks” and “Dawson’s Creek” before scoring the role of Laurie Keller in “Cougar Town,” which is now on TBS.
Philipps has also been named social media ambassador for this year’s Screen Actors Guild Awards, where she will post on Twitter and Facebook for the six weeks leading up to the awards presentation.
The awards ceremony, presented by SAG-AFTRA, will be simulcast live on TNT and TBS on Sunday, Jan. 27, at 8 PM ET. The awards will be produced by Jeff Margolis Productions in association with the Screen Actors Guild Awards.
