The Executive Producer of 'The Killing,' Veena Sud, seems very confident that the greenlight for season three of the series is en route. While no formal announcement has been made, a deal between AMC and Netflix is on the table that could revive the cult hit which was dropped after two seasons.
Dawn Prestwich and Nicole Yorkin, who served as co-executive producers in the first and second season, are now expected to return as executive producers. Reportedly, Prestwich and Yorkin have already been working on the plot of season three, along with Sud.
Prestwich and Yorkin were the final pieces of the puzzle: Fox TV Studios already has the cast of 'The Killing' locked and loaded for another season. Series stars Mireille Enos and Joel Kinnaman are signed on the dotted line and excited to get underway.
Despite a lack of official announcement, Sud is eyeing February as start of development. Bringing Prestwich and Yorkin back on board makes that potential date much more feasible.
