A.C. Slater off the market

LopezWhen 'Saved By The Bell' ended its run, who would have thought that Mario Lopez would be the one in 2012 to get the most media attention and work? I had nothing against Lopez' A.C. Slater, but he seemed like one of those stars teenagers love that fade away. How wrong I was. And how pissed Jessie Spano must be.

Lopez married Courtney Mazza Saturday in Punta Mita, Mexico. The couple had been dating for nearly five years and their two-year-old daugther Gia served as the flower girl (Eva Longoria was a bridesmaid). One-hundred and fifty guests joined the couple as they began their lives together officially.

Lopez, who hosts 'The X Factor' and cohosts 'Extra,' proposed to Courtney on New Year's Eve 2011, with an $80,000 ring.

“We took a walk alone as the sun was setting," Lopez recalled of the proposal. "I told Courtney that I wanted the mother of my children to have their last name. She was silent at first from shock, then she leaped for join and did a little jete!”

The wedding will be televised on TLC December 8 at 8 p.m. on 'Mario & Courtney's Wedding Fiesta.' Is anyone in Hollywood allowed to get married without a television special nowadays?

"I'm just a sidekick in it. My fiancée is the star," Lopez said. "I just want the wedding itself to be fun, just a blast, everybody to party and have fun and to go all night."

Congrats to the happy couple.
