In an effort to promote its upcoming new original drama series “Rogue”, DirecTV Audience Network is eliciting the help of Jack Bauer and “24”. “24” starred Kiefer Sutherland as Counter Terrorist Unit agent Jack Bauer and originally ran from November 6, 2001 – May 24, 2010. It spanned a total of eight seasons and 192 episodes and was frequently heralded as one of the best shows on television. The series was praised for its unique approach to episode format; each episode chronicled 24 hours in the life of Bauer as he worked to stop assassination attempts, solve conspiracies and thwart terrorist attacks.
Direct TV Audience Network is hoping to draw in fans and new viewers with the ground-breaking series starting on Monday, January 7th at 8 p.m. as a lead up to the release of their new series “Rogue” in summer of 2013.
Patty Ishimoto, Vice President of entertainment at DirecTV and GM of the Audience Network feels that “24” and “Rogue” will be great complimentary series. "24 perfectly complements our current stable of critically acclaimed, award-winning dramas, such as Damages, and our upcoming series, Rogue. 24 is a unique series presented in an unparalleled format that had viewers constantly on the edge of their seats. We are excited to provide our viewers with the opportunity to rediscover it as it was meant to be seen, unedited, and commercial free and in HD."
“Rogue” will feature Thandie Newton as an undercover detective struggling to come to terms with the death of her son and her role in the actions leading up to the tragedy.
