Jamie Foxx, Oscar winning actor, was recently cast as villain Electro in the upcoming sequel to 'The Amazing Spider-Man.' Not only is Foxx an actor, he's a talented musician and now he's creating and developing his own television projects.
Co-written by Foxx and Robert Port (producer of 'Numbers' and an Academy Award winner in his own right) the project is an action/drama called 'HIT.' The concept centers on two best friends and former football teammates in high school (a quarterback and a wide receiver) who are drafted by the Miami police department and assigned to HIT, which stands for High Impact Team. Now the same chemistry that made the friends successful on the field helps them take on Miami's most dangerous criminals.
Beyond writing duties, Foxx and Port will serve as executiv
e producers on the upcoming series, which is being developed for TNT. After finding success with the revival of 'Dallas,' TNT has stepped up their game when it comes to producing original series. News of 'HIT's development comes shortly after the announcement that Sean Bean will be starring in the pilot for another upcoming TNT series 'Legends.'
