The erstwhile George Costanza is headed to Greendale Community College.
Jason Alexander will make a guest appearance in an episode of NBC's “Community.” Details on his role in the fourth- season episode have not been revealed yet, though it was Alexander who spilled the beans.
"Filming a crazy episode of ‘Community’ this week. Can't say much about it but it's a fun one," Alexander tweeted, revealing the news early Tuesday.
It’s been a rough offseason for the show, which has often been on the brink of extinction. The show, which was originally slotted for Friday nights this fall, was renewed at the 11th hour in May. It has been moved back to its usual Thursdays at 8 p.m. ET slot.
Alexander appeared on the classic NBC sitcom “Seinfeld,” which was recently voted the greatest sitcom of all time from “Vanity Fair” and “60 Minutes,” from 1989 to 1998. Costar Michael Richards recently booked a spot on a TV Land pilot with Kirstie Alley.
Cast member Chevy Chase, who famously feuded with show runner Dan Harmon before Harmon was ousted, has also now left the show. Moses Port and David Gaurascio will take over for Harmon.
Community makes its return Feb. 7 on NBC.
