We previously reported that Paul Rudd would join NBC’s Parks and Recreation for at least one episode in the upcoming months, playing Leslie Knope‘s (Amy Poehler) opponent for city council. Though there’s no confirmation from NBC, rumors suggest he’ll be around for more than just one episode. Rudd is not the only big name coming to Parks and Recreation before the season wraps up.
According to TV Guide, Sean Hayes is taking time out of his busy schedule to guest star. Hayes currently stars and produces TV Land’s Hot in Cleveland. He’s no stranger to NBC, having co-starred in the 90s hit Will & Grace. In fact, Will & Grace co-star Megan Mullaly has a recurring role on Parks & Recreation as Tammy 2, Ron Swanson’s wife.
Hayes will play a journalist who writes an in-depth article on Leslie as she head into the election. Will he uncover perhaps her rendezvous relationship with co-worker Ben? The episode will air in later spring and is expected to be a mini- Will & Grace reunion, though the characters will not cross paths in the episode.
Over the past four years, Parks and Recreation welcomed a number of big names as guest stars. Andy Samberg, Ben Schwartz, Nick Kroll, Louis C.K. and Patricia Clarkson are just a few names to appear in the rolling credits.
Parks and Recreation follows the lives of the Pawnee, Indiana parks department as they deal with a number of issues ranging from funding cuts to inter-office romance. The sitcom airs Thursdays at 8;30/7;30c on NBC.
