Hickory dickory dock....oooohh!
How exactly did Andrew Dice Clay get a second 15 minutes of fame? The question still puzzles me, as it had seemed like he had faded away into the myst of obscurity, joining other '80s comedy icon Gallagher as the entertainment you would be likely to find at some podunk dive in Peoria, Illinois. But instead, like a bad case of athlete's foot, he just won't go away.
Clay, who appeared on HBO's Entourage (relatively) recently, has apparently used the opportunity to jump start his flatlined career. Now the comedian will be premiering a comedy special on Showtime this New Year's Eve, Monday, December 31 at 10 p.m. I know you all will be canceling your plans.
“My filth is derived from watching people, whether it be behind a bedroom door or on a New York City subway,” said Clay. “At the end of the day, it’s comedy, it's what I do. If I really did just one-quarter of what I say on stage, I’d be doing 25 to life."
The special, 'Indestructable,' is Clay's first stand-up special in 17 years and was taped in August at Chicago's Arcada Theatre (Peoria, Chicago, I was close).
Are you going to check the Diceman out?
Good God, I thought he was done with long ago. Why on Earth would anyone *pay* to listen to his idea of "humour"?
UGH. Of all the people to drag out of mothballs.
