Disney star Brenda Song signs on for recurring guest role on "New Girl"

Former Disney Channel royalty is on her way to the set of “New Girl” and straight into the heart of one of the fox comedy’s lucky gentlemen. Brenda Song, best known for her role as London Tipton on the Disney Channel’s “The Suite Life of Zack and Cody” has been cast in a recurring guest role on “New Girl”, where she will play a woman named Daisy.

This announcement comes in the wake of the recent announcement that Brooklyn Decker will has been added to the show as Holly, a desirable bar patron who is sure to catch the eye of all the men. It seems that the plan for these two new female additions will be tied up in Winston, who is on the mend from his break up with Shelby (played by Kali Hawk) who played his girlfriend for seven episodes. When Winston is rejected by Holly, Daisy swoops in to stake her claim.

Song has had a very successful career since her debut into show business as early as 1995. In addition to her television roles, Song also has three Disney Channel movies under her belt and starred in the movies “Special Delivery”, “College Road Trip” and “The Social Network”. She has been noted to be one of Hollywood’s most promising rising stars in the media, and after a recent story arc on ABC’s “Scandal” you will now be able to catch her on "New Girl" over on Fox in the new year!
