NBC has decided that America needs more 'Whitney'.
The sophomore "comedy," which stars Whitney Cummings, was originally given a 13-episode order for the season. After this week's episode drew a ratings increase, netting a 1.4 rating in the adults 18-49 demo which matched its season high, NBC approved three more episodes. 'Whitney' has now increased its improvement and is stable in terms of ratings.
'Whitney' was scheduled to premiere on Friday, October 19, along with 'Community,' but NBC decided to pull 'Animal Practice' with 'Whitney' on its Wednesday night schedule beginning November 14. Now 'Whitney,' paired with 'Guys With Kids,' is finally holding its own. 'Guys With Kids' also received a partial back order, for four additional episodes.
'Community' will return at 8 p.m. on Thursdays beginning February 7.
'Whitney' airs Wednesdays at 8 p.m.
Here is a clip from the show, for those of you who are unfamiliar. I have seen ‘Whitney’ and found it to be one of the least enjoyable programs on television. It is not even that I hate Cummings as a comedian; this series just has no life. Are any of you reading this big fans of the series? I would really like to know what about the program people like.
