After the first half of the first season, 'Arrow' has become so damned popular that Starling City is now the place to be. James Callis is the latest name to be announced as having landed a guest appearance on the CW action drama, according to TVGuide.com.
While the hunky Callis is best known for his performance of Gaius Baltar on the remake of 'Battlestar Galactica,' fans may also recognize Callis as Dr. Trevor Grant on 'Eureka,' for which he filmed ten episodes.
On 'Arrow,' Callis will play The Dodger, an elusive international jewel thief who imposes his plans on the innocent, forcing them to carry out his crimes under duress. This sort of thing doesn't stand in Starling City, and soon their Hooded Avenger Oliver Queen and Diggle begin investigating. After the disappearance of the Sherwood Ruby, the investigation leads our heroes right to The Dodger... where they learn that apprehending the criminal won't be as easy as they'd hoped.
In the popular DC Comics book 'Green Arrow,' The Dodger appears as a villain who eventually aids Oliver Queen in his war on crime; given how many names and attributed have been borrowed from the comic book while leaving other key ingrediants to the wayside, it is too early to tell if CW's Dodger will grow a conscience.
'Arrow' returns Wednesday, Jan. 16 at 8:00pm ET on the CW.
