Scott Baio is still in charge at Nick at Nite.
The kid’s network has given “See Dad Run,” a live- action comedy starring Baio, a second season.
The comedy, about TV actor David Hobbs (Baio) becaming a stay- at- home father, will have 20 episodes in the second season.
The series is created by Tina Albanese and Patrick Layorteaux, and Baio is an executive producer. The show is produced by Bischoff- Hervey Entertainment TV from Eric Bischoff and Jason Hervey (yep, THAT Eric Bischoff and THAT Jason Hervey). The show, which debuted Oct. 6, is Nick at Nite’s first original comedy.
Baio appeared in “Happy Days” “Joanie Loves Chachi” and “Charles in Charge,” and more recently the VH1 reality show “Scott Baio is 45… and Single.” It is unknown whether or not he will reprise his role as attorney Bob Loblaw on “Arrested Development,” nor if the character will continue Bob Loblaw’s Law Blog (say it outloud).
Nick at Nite recently game series orders to “Wendell and Vinnie” starring “iCarly’s” Jerry Trainor. Nickelodeon also approved “You Gotta See This” and others.
The network launched in 1985 and broadcasts over Nickelodeon’s channel space weeknights from 8 p.m. to 7 a.m.
