'Anger Management' heading to India

Charlie Sheen's latest sitcom is heading to India.

'Anger Management,' which stars Sheen as Dr. Charlie Goodson, Selma Blair as Dr. Kate Wales and Shawnee Smith as Jennifer Goodson, has been sold by Lionsgate to Comedy Central India for broadcast in the country. The network, which is India's only 24-hour comedy station, has landed the exclusive broadcast rights to the series, which is based on the Adam Sandler film of the same name.

Comedy Central India joins CTV in Canada, as well as other foreign deals in Latin America, the United Kingdom, Scandinavia, Australia, Germany, Poland, Spain, South Africa and Benelux, as landing the broadcast rights to the comedy.

Lionsgate has a 90-episode order for the series from FX, with the show being sold into syndication by Debmar Mercury to the Fox station group.

Lionsgate Television produces the show in partnership with Revolution Studios, Evolution Entertainment, Mohawk Productions and Estevez Sheen Productions.

I have to give Sheen a ton of credit. He seems out there a lunatic at times but everything he does seems to bounce off of him and he emerges from the other side unscathed. I thought his career was going to take a big hit after he left ‘Two and a Half Men.’ That does not seem to be the case though, does it?
