Little kids love to sing. Anyone who has been dragged to a children's performance at an elementary school could tell you that - as well as the fact that most kids are terrible at singing.
NBC Universal's Telemundo Media does not want to hear that though. In fact, Telemundo is going to begin casting really soon for its newest reality series 'La Voz Kids.' Which in American English means 'The Voice Kids.'
The show will be the first singing contest geared at the younger crowd and is looking for talent between the ages of seven and 14. Casting has begun in nine different American cities, including New York City and Los Angeles.
The first casting will begin in early 2013 in Miami.
'La Voz Kids' will mirror the format of 'The Voice,' with blind auditions, battle rounds and live shows. This is going to be a smash hit, isn't it? No judges have been named for the show yet, but if it was me I would sign up Bozo the Clown, Dustin Diamond and Lindsay Lohan. Bozo will probably be the toughest to land, but kids love clowns, so pay the man what he is worth, Telemundo.
The winner of the contest will receive a recording contract with Universal Music and a scholarship.
