United Kingdom readers, prepare for a scare. UKTV's flagship pay-tv station Watch has signed a new deal with NBCUniversal to air seasons of 'Haunted Highway,' 'Haunted Collector,' and 'Hollywood Treasure' on your side of the Atlantic Ocean.
In case you are not familiar with these programs, here is a little bit of information about each:
'Haunted Highway' focuses on two teams - Jack Osbourne and Dana Workman are one, Jael de Pardo and Devin Marble the other - as they investigate claims of the paranormal along the back roads of America. The teams tackle these investigations head on, heading out to find the truth behind the claims. Six episodes were shot in the first season, in locations in Montana, South Dakota, Minnesota, Arkansas and Louisiana.
'Haunted Collector' deals with the Zaffis family, who believe in the supernatural. Not only do they believe the supernatural are in homes and buildings, they also think they live in objects. Therefore, the family tries to track down these haunted trinkets.
'Hollywood Treasure' features Joe Maddalena, who owns "Profiles in History," which is the world's largest auction house of original Hollywood collectibles. Maddalena spends each episode trying to acquire rare memorabilia.
Watch general manager Steve Hornsey said that "Haunted Highway, Haunted Collector and Hollywood Treasure complements Watch’s strong line-up of ‘out of the ordinary’ programming in 2013, which already includes Beauty and the Beast, The Jonathan Goodwin project (title TBC), Primeval: New World and the third season of Dynamo."
