The star of Fox’s “New Girl” has signed with the United Talent Agency (UTA).

Zooey Deschanel was previously with CAA.
The Indie film darling has earned Emmy and Golden Globe nominations for “New Girl,” which is in its second season.
Deschanel has also earned Grammy nominations for her work in the band She & Him, for which she sings and writes.
Deschanel is also a co- founder of female- targeted entertainment and pop culture website HelloGiggles.com. Deschanel created the site along with Sophia Rossi and Molly Mcaleer. Rossi is also represented by UTA.
Deschanel and Hello Giggles also ventured into series development this development season with “Must Be Nice,” a comedy “New Girl” consulting producer J.J. Philbin wrote. “Must Be Nice” was sold to Fox with a script commitment.
On the big screen Deschanel has appeared in “{500} Days of Summer,” “Elf” and “Almost Famous.” Deschanel is also still represented by her manager Sarah Jackson and attorney Steve Warren.
“New Girl” is on Fox at 9 p.m. ET Tuesdays, and returns Jan. 8. The series also stars Max Greenfield, Jake Johnson, Lamorne Morris and Hannah Simone. Carla Gugino and Olivia Munn have also recently had arcs on the program.
