Stephen Nichols leaving "The Young and the Restless"

It looks like “The Young and the Restless” star Stephen Nichols has filmed his final appearance on the long running daytime soap opera, which recently celebrated its 24^th year on the top of the daytime drama ratings. Nichols has played the role of Tucker McCall, the powerful millionaire-tycoon, on the show since 2009 when he replaced actor William Russ when the producers decided they wanted to take the character in a different direction.

Soap Opera Uncensored reported that Nichols taped his final episode of the CBS daytime soap, but no reason is given for his sudden departure. Jessica Heap, who plays Eden Baldwin on “The Young and the Restless”, is reportedly also making her exit.

Before “The Young and the Restless”, Nichols had already established himself as a staple in the daytime soap world. From 1985-1990 and again from 2006-2009 he played Steve (Patch) Johnson on “Days of Our Lives” for which he earned an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Actor in a Leading Role and five Soap Opera Digest Best Actor Awards. Nichols also played Stefan Cassadine on “General Hospital” from 1996-2006. Nichols is now 61 years old.

They sure have changed so many people around. Adam & Chelsey should have stayed together. Nothing new to watch-Nikki & Victor should retire & take off, Sharon should move out of town due to really no need for her to be on the show. As for Phylis she should have been off & in jail. She is just TO dramatic all the time & should have been put in a looney bin years ago. I also now record the show & just watch part of it. Stories drag out much to long!!!

Victor and Nikki together. Leave them that way! Victoria and Billy .... LOVE THEM! She needs to get pregnant. Nick and Sharon need to get back together. Avery and Dylan should be together. Adam and Chelsea were amazing together in the beginning before the lying. They belong together.I love that he and Victor are becoming family. I think them running Newman together is awesome!! I hope the new Abby is a better actress then the old one!! Leslie needs to go just like Sophia. Those girls cannot act. Gus Rogan .. another bad actor. Cast a new Sophia and get her and Neil together. Tyler and Carmine need to go back to where they came from. I love love hot sexy Alex!! The show could use more Latino Heat. Like Dr. Griffin Castillo(Jordi Vilasuso)from All My Children. We need some Dr's in GC!! :) What the heck are you doing with Kevin and Chloe?? Stupid stupid stupid!! Cane and Lily are just boring. But this crap with Tyler is only making Lily look bad. Mrs C and Jill .. Love them!! What happened to Devon? Jack and Phyllis...Im a fan of them together! Would love to see Nina and her boys as a happy family. Want Ronan back at the GCPD!! Him and Alex would make a good team. Thats all for now!! :)

Adam and Chelsea have good chemistry together. They are a great couple They are so good together. Put Them Back Together. Why did you let Tucker go. He bought in excitement. Who Are all these new people. I don't like them. Why are they messing up relationships. Michael and Lauren. Cane and Lilly. Adam and Chelsea. Get rid of big red Phyllis never liked her anyway. Tell her to take Sharon with her and that new girl Neal is messing with. Recast Neal baby mother. I don't know if I can take anymore of this show. I have watched faithfully from day one. Everyone is bed hopping. Why is Lauren sleeping with that young boy and Neal in bed with that little girl. Why is her brother trying to breakup Cane and Lilly. I will just record the show and watch on weekends. There are better things to do at that time. I do not like the story lines.I AM NOT HAPPY1111

Stephen Nichols was perfect in the role of Tucker McCall. He had an abundance of chemistry with all his co-stars. Y&R missed many opportunities to incorporate Tucker into many storylines!! They really need to bring him back like they did with the actress that plays Abby.

I am getting sick and tired of this show; so why do I keep watching? Only hoping it will change. Darn shame Tucker left. He was an added change to this mundane show. Good grief!!! Nikki will play MS to the highest level and if Victor doesn't lose some weight and begin his wellness program he won't be on there long. Whatever happened to someone being happy. Who messed with Adam and Cheslea, they were the only thing good about the show.

Tucker and Katherine's last scenes were brilliantly executed! According to Jeanne Cooper that is because they were feeling the emotions of Stephens dismissal. Jeanne has said she thinks it was a big mistake to let him go. I agree! Though he'd only been on for three years, he made a huge impact on this 30+ year viewer. He is such a subtle actor that can turn the most mundane scene into a work of art.

Tucker was not a main character after Ashley left. He isn't competition for Victor. Too bad Catherine didn't tell him she loved him before he exited.

What fools the writters are!!!!!! I finally like Tucker and they let him go, wth? Catherine needs some more happiness! I hate Victor now & why couldn't they leave Adam & Chelsey ALONE! The Noah story line is stupid!
