Today's a big day for Doctor Who (and Christmas, of course), and we here at TVRage are keeping you posted with all the latest TARDIS-related updates. Today's Christmas special, "The Snowmen," hasn't yet aired in the U.S. as of this writing, but already you can check out the brand new (and starkly different) title sequence that came with it. Meanwhile, you can check out the exciting new trailer for the upcoming second half of series 7, which kicks off in April.
As per usual with Doctor Who, the trailer features an array of shots taken from a multitude of episodes, and we're not going to break it down and dissect each shot. But we will say that it contains some rather scary-looking new monsters, as well as some peeks at some new guest stars -- Warwick Davis shows up briefly, while Liam Cunningham (Game of Thrones' Davos), an officer on a sinking submarine, kindly asks the Doctor, "Who the hell are you?!"
The Doctor's response, taken from another episode, is typically verbose (and hilarious): "I'm the Doctor. I'm an alien from outer space, I'm a thousand years old, I've got two hearts, and I CAN'T FLY A PLANE!"
Check out the trailer below and let us know your thoughts on all the clues it holds. Doctor Who series 7 will resume in April 2013.
