What is 'Orphan Black?'
You would be excused for asking that question, as not a hell of a lot is known about the new addition to BBC America's lineup. The series, which debuts in March, is going to be added to the network's Supernatural Saturday lineup, but the details about the show are being kept kind of close to the chest right now.
What we do know is that 'Orphan Black' will be a brand-new, original sci-fi series that stars Canadian actress Tatiana Maslany (The Vow). Maslany plays Sarah, who assumes the identity of a deceased woman. Why? That is not known; however, Sarah comes to learn that the woman she is doppelganging is actually her doppelganger - her clone, in fact. Sarah works to figure out the conspiracy behind this, while fighting to not join her clone in the great beyond. And from the first trailer, it seems that there might be more clones – so who is a clone of who?
The first trailer for the series can be seen on Entertainment Weekly's website here. What do you make of this? This show has a really creepy premise and I am pretty excited to check it out.
'Orphan Black' premieres March 30 at 9 p.m. on BBC America. Are you in?
