Not since Full House have a pair of television twins been more perfectly cast – former Saturday Night Live cast member Jenny Slate will guest star on NBC's Parks and Recreation as the twin sister of aspiring playboy Jean-Ralphio Saperstein.
Played by Ben Schwartz, recurring character Jean-Ralphio is Tom Haverford's arrogant friend who fancies himself a smooth talking ladies man with brilliant innovative ideas, although he has neither the gumption nor the respect of those around him to accomplish his goals.
Slate will portray his twin sister Mona Lisa, who is hired by Tom to work as a salesperson at his new "Rent-A-Swag" store. Unfortunately, Tom (Aziz Ansari) soon discovers that Mona also shares a lack of work ethic with her brother.
She will appear in at least one episode scheduled to air later this season, joining an assortment of Season 5 guest stars that has so far included Lucy Lawless, Christie Brinkley, and Vice President Joe Biden.
Following her brief stint on Saturday Night Live during the 2009-10 season, Slate had a recurring role on HBO's Bored to Death and has also guested on Girls and FOX's Raising Hope.
It's truly uncanny how similar Jenny Slate and Ben Schwartz look, and I can definitely see her character sharing some personality traits with Jean-Ralphio. This casting is sublime. What do you think?
