First look at Lifetime's 'She Made Them Do It'

Tatum

I would be willing to bet you a lot of women hate Jenna Dewan-Tatum. Who? Focus on the last name, TVRage reader. Dewan-Tatum is Mrs. Channing Tatum and the couple recently announced that they were pregnant.

And while that is great news, Dewan-Tatum has something more pressing in her immediate future: a Lifetime TV-movie called 'She Made Them Do It,' which premieres this Saturday at 8 p.m.

In the film, Dewan-Tatum plays Sarah Pender, a convicted felon who finds herself in the middle of a double-murder mystery involving her roommates at college.

"It's dark, intense and emotional," says Dewan-Tatum, who has appeared on 'American Horror Story: Asylum.' Pender has denied her guilt throughout the ordeal, which was intriguing to Dewan-Tatum.  "I thought of her as somebody who really believed her own lie — if it is a lie.

"Once of the beautiful things about this story is that no one really knows what's true or not true," she added. "She's a manipulative character with a survivor mentality. She's naturally very charismatic and knows how to work people without them knowing it."

Pender ends up having an affair with a prison guard and is helped by Jamie Long (Mackenzie Phillips), a former inmate who helps her escape custody.

The chance to star in the film was a dream come true for Dewan-Tatum.

"I grew up watching Lifetime movies with my mother almost every day," she said. "They're guilty pleasures!"

Wow! I was stunned to find out the character 'Jamie Long' was played by Mackenzie Phillips!! She sure doesn't look anything like she use too, that's for sure.
Justice for Sarah Pender

Sarah Pender, the woman depicted in "She Made them Do it" is a victim of a wrongful conviction. There's a controversy around her case and many peoople believe in her innocence. If you want a good overviesw of her case, visit our campaign website "fait justice for Sarah Pender" It should be noted that none of the people who took part in the making of "She Made Them Do It" tried to contact Sarah Pender or her relatives to know more about the case. On the same days “She made them do it” will be aired in the US, an episode of another TV show - "Snapped" - is scheduled on Oxygen TV Saturday December 29, 2012 at 2 pm and Sunday, December 30th at 12 am and 4.45pm. This episode presents Sarah's case and leans toward Sarah Pender's Innocence. I believe it will prove much more accurate and factual than She Made them do it. At least, the Snapped TV crew met all people involved in the case...
