It's been nearly seven years since the last episode of Arrested Development aired on FOX. Ever since that day, rumors of the cult comedy's resurrection have ran rampant. As we all know, Netflix finally stepped up to the plate last year, and announced that a fourth season of AD would be filmed and aired exclusively on its instant streaming service. Earlier this year, we found out that the new episodes would debut in 2013. As of today, we now have the date when we can officially reunite with the Bluths.
May 4th, 2013. On that fateful day, the hordes of rabid Arrested Development fans will finally get to quench their thirst for more Michael, GOB, George Michael, Tobias, and the rest of the family. All fourteen new episodes will debut at the same time, meaning every fan can watch at their own pace. An all day marathon? Feel free. One episode a week like a normal TV schedule? That's an option as well. Such is the freedom one gets from an internet viewing platform.
One sticking point that must be mentioned though, is that this May 4th date is only currently confirmed for USA Netflix subscribers. It's already been confirmed that the new episodes will indeed be coming to international Netflix markets like Canada and the UK as well, but overseas premiere dates have yet to be revealed. Maybe the rest of the world will get lucky and get them before the end of May. We can certainly hope for the best at least.
