The final piece of the puzzle for the untitled Rob Greenberg comedy pilot has been put in place.

Jerry O’Connell has signed on to the single- camera project, which is from CBS TV Studios and Tannenbaum Co. It revolves around four guys (O’Connell, Chris Smith, Kal Penn and Tony Shalhoub) who find camaraderie at a short- term rental complex. Smith plays Carter, a 20- something who lives among the three more experienced guys.
Stuart (O’ Connell) is a conservative and OB/ GYN going through his second divorce.
An off- cycle pilot order was given to the project in early July by CBS, and within a couple of weeks Smith and Penn were added. Shalhoub was then cast in mid- August, but the search continued for the fourth guy until now. At the time, O’ Connell had been cast as Herman Munster on NBC’s “Munsters” reboot “Mockingbird Lane,” but NBC passed on that pilot recently.
The pilot for the untitled comedy pilot will begin shooting this month. It was pushed to January because Shalhoub had a commitment for Clifford Odets’ “Golden Boy.”
O’Connell also starred in 2010 legal dramedy “The Defenders” on CBS.
O’Connell is managed by 3 Arts.
