Anna Camp on her way to 'Vegas'

A co- star of “Pitch Perfect” and “The Mindy Project” is on her way to “Vegas.”

Anna Camp has been cast on the CBS period drama in a multi- episode arc as Violet, a sexy starlet.

Violet is described as an aspiring actress who is also the mistress of a movie studio mogul. She is in Las Vegas on a project she hopes will be her big break, and Dixon (Taylor Handley) becomes her part- time body guard. The two then get close.

Camp is on the map after appearing in musical “Pitch Perfect.” She also currently recurs on Fox’s “Mindy Project,” starring “Office” alum Mindy Kaling this season.

Camp has also recurred on CBS’ “The Good Wife” and HBO’s “True Blood,” and appeared in features “The Help” as Jolene French and “Forgetting the Girl” as Adrienne Gilcrest.

“Vegas” has new episodes again starting next week, on Jan. 8 at 10 p.m. ET. Dennis Quaid, Michael Chiklis and Carrie- Anne Moss also star on “Vegas,” which is set in 1960s Las Vegas. It centers on Sheriff Lamb (Quaid) and him dealing with Vincent Savino (Chiklis), a Chicago mobster relocated out west.
