A TV and film veteran who recently appeared on FX’s “American Horror Story: Asylum” has joined the cast of NBC’s upcoming Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde- ish thriller.

James Cromwell will be on at least three episodes of “Do No Harm,” apparently as Jason’s mentor who possibly doesn’t have his best interests at heart, executive producer David Schulner told TV Line.
The series premieres Thursday, Jan. 31, at 10 ET and is about surgeon Dr. Jason Cole (played by Steven Pasquale “Rescue Me”) who is trying to contain his seductive and borderline sociopathic alter ego “Ian Price,” who every night at the same hour takes over his body and messes up his life.
Cromwell is currently playing mad scientist/ former Nazi doctor Arthur Arden (aka Hans Gruper) on the FX drama.
Cromwell has appeared on “Six Feet Under,” “24,” “My Own Worst Enemy” and “Boardwalk Empire on the small screen. His feature credits include “L.A. Confidential,” “Eraser,” “Babe” and “The Green Mile.”
Toni Trucks from the recently- canceled “Made in Jersey” will also recur. She will play Dr. Patricia Rivers on "Do No Harm."
“Do No Harm” debuts after the one- hour series finale of “30 Rock” on Jan. 31.
