After more than a decade of putting it off, finally Naomi Campbell can wait no longer.
The 42-year-old supermodel, will be joining Oxygen's 'The Face,' a modeling competition that premieres next month on the network.
"I've been asked for the last 12 years to do television," said Campbell. "[What appealed] to me was the whole thing about mentoring. I've been working 26 years, and I do feel like I have something to share. It was an emotional journey for me. It hit me about the fourth or fifth day in that I wouldn't just be coming into the room and telling the girls what to do... I made it clear to all of the that I was there for them. It was a big learning curve for me."
The series is going to operate a little differently than other modeling competitions. For one, the models on the program are not judges. The winner of the competition will be selected by a changing cast of clients and fashion brands.
Joining Campbell on the program will be fellow models Karolina Kurkova and Coco Rocha. The series will be hosted by Nigel Barker.
Reality TV is not by bag, but Campbell's name will likely draw people in. What do you think?
