Jesse McCartney, who is best known for his work on 'All My Children' as J.R. Chandler and for his work with boy band Dream Street (as well as a solo singing career), will be joining the cast if Lifetime's 'Army Wives' for its upcoming seventh season.
McCartney will be featured in a recurring role as Private Tim Truman, a young soldier eager to prove himself during his upcoming first deployment. Truman is the husband of new series regular Elle McLemore, who plays farm girl Holly Truman.
The young actor has also appeared on 'Greek,' 'Summerland' and provided voice skills to the 'Kingdom Hearts' video game series.
I cannot say I am a fan of his. He was in the movie "Chernobyl Diaries" and I thought he was abysmal - not that the movie was any better, but his acting felt at a lower level than the rest of the cast.
His run is scheduled for 11 episodes, but could potentially become more. The series has also added Ashtanti and Torrey DeVitto (The Vampire Diaries) to the cast for the new season.
Does this news do anything for you? The show was never on my radar as something I wanted to see and this news does nothing to change that - in fact, I am less likely to watch now.
