Earlier today, TV Rage told you that Matt Damon would finally be appearing on his good friend Jimmy Kimmel's program, 'Jimmy Kimmel Live,' after years of kidding around about it. It became a recurring joke that Kimmel would say he was running out of time and that Damon was being bumped.
Appearing on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live' is apparently not enough television for the movie star, as Showtime has revealed that Damon will be appearing in the second season of 'House of Lies,' where he will play "Matt Damon." Showtime entertainment chief David Nevins broke the news, adding that 'House of Lies' is "on fire," during a discussion at the Television Critics Association's executive session today.
Damon will be having the Galweather & Stearn team assist him on creating a charitable organization to go head-to-head against his friend George Clooney's charity. Damon and Clooney both worked with 'House of Lies' star Don Cheadle before in the "Ocean's Eleven" film trilogy. No word if Clooney will be joining in the mini-reunion or not; if he was, I think they would announce it.
In addition to Damon, Adam Brody and Lisa Edelstein have already been announced as appearing as guest stars during the second season of the program.
There is no word yet on the specific date that Damon's episode will air.
The second season of 'House of Lies' premieres tomorrow night on Showtime. Will you be watching?
