A “Lost” alumna’s major arc on the upcoming sixth season of a Showtime dark comedy will not develop any further.

The Showtime network has apparently scrapped plans to potentially spin off Faith (played by Maggie Grace) into her own series off of “Californication.”
Grace’s deal would have allowed Showtime to do just that.
Faith is a Catholic school girl- turned- rock band groupie who has been on the road with various acts for a long time and is considered a muse to the elite.
Although Faith enjoys the rock- and- roll lifestyle, she remains quite religious. She meets Hank Moody (played by David Duchovny) and the two become friends. Eventually, their friendship blossoms into more than that.
Grace has appeared in feature films “Taken 2,” “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1” and “Faster.” She played Shannon Rutherford for the first two seasons, being killed off in the eighth episode of that season. She also recently made her Broadway debut in the production “Picnic.”
“Californication” also stars Natascha McElhone, Madeleine Martin and Evan Handler. Moody, a successful author, is handicapped by his sexual appetite for destruction.
“Californication” sixth season debuts Sunday night on Showtime.
