Rena Sofer to play Snow White's mother on 'Once Upon a Time'

Somebody call(ed) Snow White’s momma!

Rena Sofer (“General Hospital”) will play Queen Eva, mother of Snow White (played by Ginnifer Goodwin), on “Once Upon A Time.” Eva will appear in flashbacks.

Sofer will appear in at least one episode, which is set for early March. The episode will also feature young Snow White (played by Bailee Madison).

Sofer has also appeared in feature “Traffic,” as well as “Bones” and “NCIS.”

Since Regina (played by Lana Parrilla) married Snow White’s father King Leopold (played by Richard Schiff), Queen Eva may not be long for the world, even in flashback form. We will see how she met her ultimate demise. It has also been promised that Snow White’s mother has a surprising connection to character viewers are familiar with.

Goodwin has also appeared in “He’s Just Not That Into You” and “Walk the Line,” and the series “Big Love.”

“Once…” is about a woman drawn to a small Maine town where fairy tales might possibly be for real.

Jennifer Morrison (“House MD”) and Robert Carlyle (“The Full Monty”) also appear on “Once Upon a Time.”

“Once Upon a Time” is on ABC Sundays at 8 p.m. ET.
