CBS dominated Monday night in all measures. HIMYM began the positivity by hitting a season high, while 2 Broke Girls rose a healthy six tenths from last its last new episode. Mike & Molly rose as well, but to a lesser degree. Hawaii Five-0 was the only CBS show not to post gains, but still matched its last original outing.
NBC's evening wasn't nearly as positive. The Biggest Loser matched last week, but Deception dropped nearly half a point from the series premiere. Ouch. The Bachelor went up a bit on ABC, followed by Castle matching last week. On FOX, two new installments of Bones managed to individually top last week's episode. Bones remains a consistent performer, and its recent renewal was certainly not a surprising development.
Easily the biggest disaster of the night was the series premiere of The CW's "Sex and the City" prequel The Carrie Diaries. The premiere bowed to an 0.6 demo and drew only 1.6 million total viewers. Those numbers are no great shakes, even for the fifth place network. It seems that rebooting Sex and the City for teenage girls may not have been such a wise move after all.
