On Friday, we will see the final two episodes of Fringe. The sci-fi series is at the end of its fifth and final season, which has seen our heroes travel to the dystopian future of 2036 to do battle against the Observers, a telepathic futuristic race that have created a totalitarian reign over humanity.
As we found out in last week's "The Boy Must Live," the final stage of Walter and September's plan to defeat the Observers will be very complicated indeed. Not only have the Observers taken a key aspect of their plan (September's progeny Michael), but September revealed that Walter would have to die in order for the plan to be complete.
It makes sense, then that this newly released trailer for the two-part finale "Liberty"/"An Enemy of Fate" focuses largely on Walter's narration and character arc. We also get some nice looks at the plot of "Liberty" (Olivia returns to the Other Side!), and some tantalizing action scenes, one involving Broyles holding an assault rifle. Looks like Fringe will be going out with a bang indeed.
Fringe will air its series finale on January 18 at 8/7c. Stick with TVRage for more information and thoughts regarding the finale over the next few days.
