CBS owned Monday in every respect. HIMYM dropped a bit from last week's season high, but still did very well. 2 Broke Girls took a bigger slide, down 10%. Mike & Molly went down 6%. Hawaii Five-0 dipped 8% from last week, and dropped big from last night's special episode. To add perspective to this though, last Monday saw CBS do unusually well, and these drops just put the shows back in their normal ranges.
Conversely, FOX's Bones rose 10%. The Following had a somewhat mixed debut, despite widespread critical praise. It did well overall, but actually came in 6% below the premiere of Alcatraz in the same mid-season slot. Although, it did beat the pants off of what The Mob Doctor's debut did in the fall. If the show keeps this type of number up, a renewal will be a near certainty, unless of course Kevin Bacon wants to resume his film career and declines to return.
The Biggest Loser matched last week, but lead-out Deception dropped for the third straight week to a 1.3. If we see a fourth straight drop next week, I'd say it will be time to stick a fork in this one. ABC's The Bachelor matched its last total as well, while Castle went up 5%. The CW had a bad holiday, with the Carrie Diaries dropping 17% from its premiere, and 90210 going down a whopping 33% from its last original outing.
