This ain't your average quiz show.
Bam Margera, who groin-kicked his way into our lives on MTV's "Jackass," is teaming with "Fear Factor" producer David A. Hurwitz on a new extreme game show for TBS.
"Bam's Bad Ass Game Show" received a six-episode order from the network. As the name implies will feature contestants competing for a $10,000 prize in insane, bizarre, and/or stomach-churning challenges, from answering trivia questions while dangling over a pool of dirty, trash-filled water to being shot out of a cannon. In the same vein as "Fear Factor," contestants will be eliminated with each challenge until only one pained 'winner' remains to claim the grand prize. Challenges are put together and demonstrated for contestants by Bam's personal Algonquin Round Table of friends and cohorts, so expect to see some familiar faces enduring punishment for Bam's (and viewers') entertainment.
The show continues TBS' push into more reality programming, on the heels of the strong debut of "King of the Nerds" and the upcoming "Deal With It" from Howie Mandel and "Trust Me, I'm a Game Show Host" from reality veteran Mark Burnett. The half-hour over the top competition series is slated to begin production soon for a launch in 2014.
