“American Horror Story: Asylum” wrapped up its chilling second season last night, and co-creator Ryan Murphy already has plans for what season three will bring – and who it will bring. The show’s unique format thus far of different storylines for season one and two, while still using many of the same actor,s brings an interesting dynamic to the FX mini-series. Season one star, Taissa Farmiga (the stubborn and feisty Violet) will very likely be brought back for the third installement.
Jessica Lange, Sarah Paulson and Evan Peters may be joined by Farmiga in the highly secretive third season, if Murphy has his way. “I missed her this season.” says Murphy. “There wasn’t really a role for her. I feel very protective of her and I didn’t want her to go back into the loony bin—it was too dark. So I thought well ‘I want Taissa to be one of the leads next year.’ I called her up and pitched her the character for the season and she loved it and she said, ‘Yes let’s do it.’ So we’re in negotiations for her to headline season 3.”
Murphy also wants season three of the dark thriller to have more romance than season two brought, and Murphy intends to involve Farmiga’s character in this – which will involve shooting AHS 3 in three different cities.
