Last night, Matt Damon finally got the upper hand on Jimmy Kimmel and appeared on his program Jimmy Kimmel Live. Only, for one night, it wasn't Jimmy Kimmel Live, it was Jimmy Kimmel Sucks!
For years, Kimmel has apologized at the end of his broadcasts for bumping Damon. In fact, he has done this 1,205 times. The years of torment finally took their toll, as the show opened with a video from earlier in the day of Damon ridiculing a kidnapped Kimmel. As the credits began, everything role on the show was attributed to Damon, who served as the host while a bound Kimmel watched on, helplessly.
"Welcome to tonight's episode of Jimmy Kimmel Sucks. I am your host, Matt Damon," Damon said. "Let me ask you this, as an audience is it weird to see a person with actual talent host this show?"
Damon, euphoric from finally getting his break, said that he had been "waiting for this moment for a long, long time. This is like when I lost my virginity except this is gonna last way longer than one second."
Damon made some changes to the show, replacing Guillermo with Andy Garcia and bandleader Cleto Escobedo Jr. with Sheryl Crow. Robin Williams stopped by to do jokes during the monologue.
Not everyone who showed up was ready to trash Kimmel though, as Ben Affleck showed up, holding a cue card that praised Kimmel. Damon and Affleck angrily had words, while Affleck longingly look at his tied-up friend.
Throughout the nights, other celebrities appeared – be it in studio, on the street or in a video that aired.
What a fantastic show - even Kimmel's ex-girlfriend Sarah Silverman showed up to trash Kimmel. Here are a bunch of clips.
Methinks Kimmel is going to do juuust fine at the new timeslot.
