CBS' summer adaptation of Stephen King's "Under The Dome" continues to round out its cast.
Just days after announcing Britt Robertson's ("Life Unexpected") addition to cast, two more names are added to the credits. Jolene Purdy ("Glee") and Nicholas Strong ("Nashville") have signed on for roles in the summer drama.
The series revolves around the residents of the small community of Chester's Mill, and the struggles and turmoil that they must endure when a mysterious transparent barrier surrounds the town and traps everyone inside.
Purdy will portray Dodee, a brilliant oddball engineer who works at the local radio station and uses her skills to make contact with the world outside the dome. Strong joins the cast as Phil, popular DJ, coworker of Dodee, and indie rock fan who holds a dark secret.
They join the previously announced Robertson, who will take on the role of Angie, attractive young waitress and aspiring nurse who yearned to escape Chester's Mill long before the dome descended. Alex Koch will play Junior Rennie, the disturbed son of a local politician who has an unhealthy obsession with Angie.
Surprisingly, there are still no bigger names being brought in for the rest of the ensemble cast to build around. What do you think of how the cast of this anticipated series is shaping up?
