CBS took the night off on Monday, making it an easy task for FOX to clean up in both the key demos and total viewers. Bones started things off by hitting a season high. This helped The Following do something that no other new drama has done this season: it actually rose from its premiere episode. True, it only went up one tenth of a point, but that it went up at all is still a huge victory for both the show and FOX. If we don't get a sizable drop next week, I'd say a second season is a sure thing.
Over on NBC, The Biggest Loser dropped a smidge, while Deception managed to avoid a fourth straight week of losses. Unfortunately, it didn't go up either, only managing to tie last week's already dismal number. At this point, the show's fate is probably sealed. ABC's The Bachelor also matched last week. The CW had a mixed bag overall, as Carrie Diaries matched last week's merely ok totals, and 90210 fell one tenth. I'd highly doubt Carrie Diaries gets a second season if an 0.5-0.6 remains its ceiling.
