New MTV talk show premieres tonight

Tonight is the premiere episode of Nikki & Sara LIVE, a new talk show from MTV. The show's co-hosts, Sara Schaefer and Nikki Glaser, recently talked about the program, as well as their influences in the comedy game.

The girls say that two Saturday Night Live alums are big influences and viewers will see shades of that on the show, especially in the first segment each show.

“We both get compared to Tina Fey and Amy Poehler a lot, but we love them and  think we’re influenced by them,” says Glaser. “The way that they used to do Weekend Update together, the way that they would work off each other and have fun with the jokes that they were delivering is something that we want to have -- like a loose delivery and we wanna have fun with it.”

Another lady of late night is also an influence on the ladies.

“We want our audience to feel close to us the way that a lot of people feel close to Chelsea (Handler),” says Glaser. “What everyone loves about her is that she doesn’t give a f---. She really just lets it all hang out.”

Tonight's guest is Ke$ha, who promises to make a big announcement on the debut. Boy oh boy, I can hardly wait (gag).

In addition, expect to see sketches, man-on-the-street segments and other guests.
