After the cancellation of the atrocious CBS sitcom 'Partners,' Michael Urie ('Ugly Betty') is getting back in the game: the comic actor has nabbed a guest appearance on TV Land's hit series 'Hot in Cleveland.'
Two weeks ago, TV Land renewed 'Hot in Cleveland' for a fourth season; the success of TV Land's first ever original scripted program cannot be denied. 'Hot in Cleveland' stars Valerie Bertinelli, Jane Leeves, Wendie Malick, and television legend Betty White as four past-their-prime friends who pursue love and happiness in Cleveland, Ohio.
In an episode for the upcoming fourth season, Michael Urie will play Jeffrey, a wedding planner who former soap star Victoria (Malick) is desperate to hire. Fans of the series likely felt their ears perk up at the words "wedding planner;" who's getting married!? This minor detail seems to spell big news for the beloved characters on 'Hot in Cleveland.'
More news for 'Hot in Cleveland' fans to look forward to: the summer premiere (following a hiatus the
series will be taking after the February 13 episode) will be broadcast live. June 19, 2013 will see the special episode air live at 10pm ET, with the West Coast receiving a live-taped feed at 10pm PT. 'Hot in Cleveland's live event follows other multi-camera sitcoms like 'The Drew Carey Show' which also broadcast live, as well as '30 Rock,' which transitioned to a multi-camera format for their live offerings.
So just who will Michael Urie's Jeffrey be planning a wedding for? Let the speculation begin!
