Ahhh, a new legal drama. What a unique, compelling and intriguing concept!
CBS wants you to be Reckless, the name of this new series that has been ordered to pilot. It will feature a forbidden romance between a Northern litigator and a Southern city attorney. The two try to hide their feelings, but their attraction cannot be contained.
Complicating matters is the fact that they are locked in head-to-head competition as they each are on one side of a police sex scandal in Charleston, South Carolina (the show's setting).
The show will be one hour in length and is being developed by the husband and wife team of Ian Sander and Kim Moses, who worked together on Ghost Whisperer. They will serve as executive producers, alongside Dana Stevens (Safe Haven), who will also be writing the pilot.
This is the 11th drama ordered to pilot by CBS this season - a number NBC snickers at while admiring its drama pilot stockpile. Other dramas ordered include Shawn Ryan's Beverly Hills Cop reboot/relaunch and FBI drama Anatomy of Violence.
What do you make of this news? I am not a fan of CBS, as the only series I ever watch on it is How I Met Your Mother. None of the projects they have announced are that appealing to me, bar perhaps Under the Dome.
