The end is near, “Office” fans, and in fact it’s now officially set.

The series finale of the NBC comedy will air May 16 at 9 p.m. ET.
The one- hour goodbye will also include the 200th episode. More information about the final episode I’m sure will come out in the coming weeks.
“The Office” debuted as a midseason replacement March 24, 2005 starring Steve Carell, Rainn Wilson, John Krasinski and Jenna Fischer. The show was carried in its first few season by the Jim and Pam potential romance, as well as its oddball humor. Jim and Pam eventually got together and married, Carell’s Michael Scott character eventually left.
Other characters have also drifted away from the series. Mindy Kaling this season has starred on Fox’s “The Mindy Project,” and Ellie Kemper, who plays Erin Hannon, has been signed to star in a pilot on NBC.
To me, the series is kind of limping towards the finish line. Out of the episodes I’ve seen, the only thing that has really stuck with me was Dwight appearing as Belsnikel on the Christmas episode. Otherwise, it’s been pretty unmemorable.
If you’ve watched, what do you think of this final season?
