The CW has added cast members to two of its shows — a recurring role on breakout hit Arrow and a series regular on the planned spinoff of The Vampire Diaries entitled The Originals.
Best known for his portrayal of the crooked Chinese accountant Lau in 2008's The Dark Knight, Chin Han will recur on superhero drama Arrow as Frank Chen, a successful businessman and old friend of the Queen family. Chen has a connection to The Undertaking, a nefarious gang led by Malcolm Merlyn (John Barrowman) that is wreaking havoc in the Arrow's hometown of Starling City.
In addition to his film work in Contagion and 2012, Han most recently appeared on television in the canceled CBS series Last Resort and in a guest appearance on FOX's Fringe last year.
Danielle Campbell, who played Gracey Hollander in a handful of episodes of Prison Break, has joined the cast of The Originals, which will air its backdoor pilot as an episode of The Vampire Diaries on April 25. She landed the series regular role of Davina, a young witch who has been sheltered her whole life by her overprotective caregivers.
The spinoff will chronicle the return of Klaus (Joseph Morgan) to the city he helped build centuries before, the supernatural melting pot that is the French Quarter of New Orleans. There, Klaus reunites with his former protege, the devious Marcel, played by Charles Michael Davis. Daniel Gillies and Phoebe Tonkin will also reprise their Diaries roles as Elijah and Hayley.
