Andy Samberg's new police comedy series at Fox is picking up steam.
The series, which has already added Chelsea Peretti, Terry Crews, Stephanie Beatriz and Melissa Fumero (One Life to Live), has added another talented actor to the fold today as Andre Braugher has joined the cast.
Braugher, who stars on ABC's Last Resort, has landed the co-starring role on the currently unnamed series that is being developed by Parks and Recreations Dan Goor and Mike Schur. He will play Captain Holt, who clashes with his station's top officer, Jake (played by Samberg). Holt waited 30 years for his chance to command and is not going to give it up now.
The more I read about this series, the more excited I get. I love Parks and Recreation and think Samberg can do some epic work if placed into a similar situation. I do not know some of these cast members, but Braugher and Crews can definitely bring the heat.
Samberg is producing the series, with Phil Lord and Chris Miller (21 Jump Street) attached as directors. Goor and Schur are writing the pilot and executive producing with David Miner.
Is this one on your radar? Do you like Samberg and his sense of humor?
