Beyoncé is the talk of the town right now – but that is nothing new. Last month GQ placed Beyonce atop their “100 Sexiest Women of the 21st Century” list and called her “Miss Millennium”. She sang The Star Spangled Banner at the inauguration ceremony of President Barack Obama on January 23rd (even if it was lip-synced), and her show-stopping performance at the Super Bowl was ambitious and entertaining to say the least. Beyoncé will not sit down Oprah Winfrey for a special one-one-one interview for “Oprah’s Next Chapter” in her first discussion about her Super Bowl performance – and much more.
The interview will air this Saturday at 8pm on OWN, the same night that Beyoncé’s HBO documentary “Life Is But A Dream” is set to air at 9pm. The two specials are an hour apart, so if you just can’t get enough Beyoncé don’t fret; you can watch them back to back for two full hours of diva-ness.
The last time that Beyoncé and Oprah were together for an interview was back in 2008 on the “Oprah” show. Beyoncé sat down then to talk about her album but was notoriously tight lipped about her recent marriage to Jay-Z. This time around, Beyoncé has one year old daughter Blue Ivy Carter. I wonder if she will be just as silent about her young family as she was last time.
A very short teaser has been released for the interview, which you can watch below:
