"Storage Wars" star Mark Balelo commits suicide 2 days after drug arrest

The A&E reality show “Storage Wars” cast member Mark Balelo, often called 'Rico Suave' on the show for his flashy attire, was found dead in his car Monday morning by one of his employees. Balelo, who was known to show up to auctions over the past few seasons of the show to easily outbid his rivals with huge stacks of cash, was arrested on Saturday for a drug related offense.

Balelo was released from jail where he reportedly called his fiancée in distress and fear that he may do harm to himself. Balelo’s fiancé went to his office, and after a few hours of conversation Balelo took a four hour nap and appeared to be in better spirits when he woke up. His fiancée left on Sunday night.

TMZ first reported that Monday morning one of Balelo’s employees found his body in his car at his auction house in Simi Valley, California. The car had been left running with Balelo inside, and the cause of death appears to be from carbon monoxide poisoning. His death is believed to be an act of suicide.

An autopsy has been scheduled by law enforcement for today to officially determine the cause of death.
