Any evaluation of how bad-ass an action hero's performance is should be judged on a scale of one to Linda Hamilton.
While Hamilton has appeared in dozens of feature films and a lot of television since 'Terminator 2: Judgement Day,' her portrayal of Sarah Conner remains her best known (and most intimidatingly fierce) role to date. The box office smash of 'T2' rocketed Hamilton to superstardom, however she has since taken smaller, less flashy roles in her career. Her latest move? A guest appearance on the cult
hit Canadian supernatural thriller 'Lost Girl.'
'Lost Girl' stars Anna Silk as a succubus coming to grips her her supernatural abilities and origins, living amongst other supernatural creatures hiding in plain sight. The series has the rare claim to having begun in Canada and reached syndication in Australia and the USA--far too few Canadian series ever make it that far, least of all drama series. Presently amidst its third season in the Great White North, 'Lost Girl's first season debuted in America in January 2012.
Hamilton's recent television work includes an acclaimed role as Mama Bartowski on 'Chuck.' In 'Lost Girl,' Hamilton will play Acacia, "a tough, sexy and ruthless assassin who has enjoyed a storied and deadly career." Sounds to me like a perfect moment to make a winking 'Terminator' in-joke about time-travelling assassins, but that's just me.
Linda Hamilton's episode of 'Lost Girl' will air on Syfy on March 23.
